Bonnie McGee will teach this workshop at the Bud Werner Memorial Library. McGee will lead an introduction to plein air painting covering equipment, set-up, subject and composition. After a half-hour demonstration by the instructor, students will choose a subject and start painting with personal attention from McGee. Bring: a limited palette of Cadmium Yellow, Alizarin Crimson, Ultramarine Blue and White; brushes; portable easel; 9x12 canvas boards

Stuart Handloff will teach this workshop at the Bud Werner Memorial Library. This session revisits the best and most significant moments in American musical theater history.

Jill Murphy Long will teach this workshop at the Art Tent. After an inspirational lecture about creativity, Long will provide prompts to help writers break through any obstacles they might encounter when beginning or polishing their work. Bring: paper and pen, or a laptop with a charged battery

The Steamboat Springs Arts Council will host a melodrama staged in the 100 year old historic train depot in downtown Steamboat Springs. The show will showcase local performers.

Red Horse is folk's newest supergroup, featuring John Gorka, Eliza Gilkyson, and Lucy Kaplansky, great friends and songwriters on the stage together. Their three distinctive voices carry the magic of the music that is awash in great harmonies and songwriting. This will take place at Strings Music Pavilion.

Susan Corser will teach this workshop at the Bud Werner Memorial Library. This workshop will help beginner and advanced-beginner watercolor painters create strong compositions in their paintings through the use of value changes. Participants will focus on using a series of colorful layers to create depth in their paintings. Bring: watercolor pad, or watercolor paper taped onto masonite board (preferably 12”x16” or larger); sketchbook (any size); sketching pencil; watercolor brushes (minimum of one medium-size [12 or 14] pointed round brush); watercolor palette; watercolor paint (Cadmium Red Light, Alizarin Crimson, Cadmium Yellow Light, Lemon Yellow, Cadmium Orange, Ultramarine Blue, Cerulean Blue, Cobalt Blue)

Judy Jones will teach this workshop at Fish Creek Falls. This workshop features photography and hiking open to all skill levels. Fish Creek Falls is an ideal setting for easy hiking and nature photography. The session will start with a short discussion before participants start shooting. There will be a break to discuss the photos being taken and to talk more about photography. Bring: your personal camera (digital or film) with a clean memory card (4 MB for larger cameras, 2 MB for point-and-shoot cameras) or extra film (at least 6 rolls of 36-exposure film); snack

Barrage's new high-energy, fiddle-fest is an entertainment extravaganza-like Riverdance and Stomp combined with a hot world music flare! These young musicians perform a jaw-dropping eclectic mix of music, song and dance. This will take place at Strings Music Pavilion.
